Virtual UNISON        Project Update

After the intial set up and training phases of the project, we made a phased launch of the sites to thier members. All the sites in the project were live to members after 25.3.09.

 

After going live the focus of the project turned to:

 

1. Monitoring the usage and effectiveness of the sites

 

2. Supporting teams in managing their sites

 

3. Assisting with promoting the sites to members.

The UMF support project ended in January 2010 and UNISON completed its report to BERR  in Summer 2010. A summary of the report is availble for public view:

Thel sites in the project have continued to develop and UNISON will be conducting a further survey of the members involved in 2011. This results of this survey will form the basis of the final appraisal of the effectivness and potential of Virtual Branches.
